We welcome help from volunteer drivers. You should have held a full, clean driving licence for at least 2 years. You will be fully trained under the MiDAS scheme which includes the securing of wheelchairs into the vehicles. The work we do is very varied and the people who use our services appreciate the freedom and independence that it gives them.
We are always looking for volunteer passenger assistants. As with our drivers, full training will be given. Applicants should be physically fit and their duties include assisting passengers on and off the buses, ensuring seat belts are worn, collecting fares and assisting the driver with finding locations.
Management Committee meetings are held every other month during the daytime (normally a Friday afternoon). We welcome people who wish to take an active interest in services for the elderly and mobility impaired and become involved in helping to shape the future of this extremely worthwhile service.
You can make a difference by granting a bequest in your will to Nailsea & District Community Transport. This will help us continue the vital services we provide for those who are elderly or mobility impaired to enable them to access social activities which otherwise might be unavailable and to enjoy an independent life.
